Despicable. Disgusting. Regressive. The U.S. will now experience extensive harm due to the overruling of Roe V. Wade. Everyone, except straight, white men, should fear the future. If the government is able to restrict a woman’s decisions about her body, then how could other landmark rulings, such as Obergefell v Hodges, Lawrence V. Texas, or Griswold V. Connecticut, not be overturned as well? If you are obeying a political party, a religion, or even a parent, set whatever that is aside. This is an indispensable right demanded after a period of progression, a right to guarantee that a woman controls her own body and her own healthcare. No member of the United States has any right to demand anyone what to do with their body. This is no longer about abortion. This is about maintaining fundamental rights. The Supreme Court somehow prioritized an anti-choice cause over the enforcing of complete ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment-15 states remain unbound to equal rights for genders. Educate yourselves, the wires should spark…fundamental rights are at risk. Use your voice and the privileges given to you in to make a difference.  I will be writing to my legislature, and you should too.
